What are some foods that children can have to boost memory?

Every parent wants their children to have an impeccable memory. Since only a sharp memory would help them to do well in their studies and in their lives. The parents go for just about any over-the-counter products that claim to be great memory boosters. However, what they must understand is that the real secret of memory enhancement lies in eating appropriate food. Here are a few ‘brainy’ foods that boost memory. Leading dietician for children, Avni Kaul shares some of the best foods to boost memory power.

The study on food and memory connection

The research done over last decade has reported sensational evidence of the effects of dietary factors on maintaining mental mechanisms. For example, a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids supports normal functioning of the brain cells. Whereas, diets that are high in saturated fats affect brain’s molecular system, which supports the memory.

The food that boosts memory

The human brain is a power-centre that commands the whole body. This has only 2% of the body weight, but it consumes the calories worth 20% of the total body’s intake.
